CNC carved from a single 6061 extruded aluminum billet, our newest TracStar Helibar allows optimal placement of controls in a cramped environment. Because there are no handlebar tube mounting clamps attached to the fork tube clamps, the master cylinders and switch gear can be mounted closer to the top triple clamp. This single feature optimizes bar angles, height and width changes.

2008 marks the 20th year of VFR HeliBars® production, and to celebrate this success we have re-engineered and re-styled this icon of sport touring comfort.

First we studied the immense amount of feedback we’ve received from our VFR customers over the years. The height, setback and angles of our current VFR800 HeliBars so perfectly matche the ergonomics of this machine that only a few desire any change at all. What some wished for was the ability to adjust the bars a bit higher. As always, we listened.

For 2008, our new VFR800 HeliBars receive a low profile clamping lug with one 8mm pinch bolt. This slimmer clamp allows the bar to be raised while still providing full clamping pressure on the fork tubes. A new riser tube with a smaller diameter and a thicker cross section was engineered to increase rigidity and strength while reducing the transfer of what little vibration emanates from the V-Four.

To accomodate the increased height of the clip-on Heli Bars®, the throttle housing has been rotated forward 100°. This provides the needed slack in the throttle cables and produces a cleaner, neater appearance
Everything clears beautifully. The use of specific shaped investment castings allows Heli to design lightweight yet super strong alloy steel clip-on Heli Bars®.

Heli Modified originally designed and released the ST1300 Tour Performance® Bar Relocation Adapters in the spring of 2003. As it is customary they re-evaluate their design after one or two seasons and found several areas to make improvements to an already excellent design.
Using suggestions and feedback from many of their customers and dealers they set out to incorporate some of these improvements and added several other updates as well.

Thinner Shape
The shape now has a thinner, more angular profile and less `boxy` shape.
Their weight loss program carved 1/4 pound of material out of areas that did not require extra mass for strength. The new shape was part of this weight reduction, no sense in adding needless weight to your motorcycle
